RETIREMENT THOUGHTS AFTER RIO
After the losing at the quarterfinal stage at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she spent the next year away from the sport recovering from surgery to her knee and her shoulder. She got married during this period, and also considered quitting wrestling for good. "I thought about retirement a lot. To go on vacation and not have constant structure, and living my own life. But my teammates care for each other and were committed to the goal of being in Japan [for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo], and these women inspired me to return to the sport I love. I now realise that there is something outside sport, but also that I'm choosing to do this, and be part of an exciting time in the growth of women's sport." (olympicchannel.com, 18 Sep 2019)

FURTHER EDUCATION
She has studied for a master's degree in project management at DeVry University in the United States of America. (Facebook profile, 06 Feb 2020; LinkedIn profile, 01 Sep 2017)

COACHING
