General Interest

General
POST-TOKYO RETIREMENT
She is planning to retire from wrestling after the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "This [2020] will be my last season as a wrestler. I would like to, if possible, end the season with an Olympic medal." (wz.de, 14 Sep 2019; rp-online.de, 29 Sep 2019; wz.de, 23 Mar 2020; wrestlingtv.in, 04 Apr 2020; schwarzwaelder-bote.de, 02 Apr 2020)

ENJOYING TOKYO
She said she was too nervous at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, and plans to enjoy the 2020 Games in Tokyo more. "In 2016 I was too nervous, this time around [2020] I want to be more relaxed and take it all in. Most of all, I'm looking forward to travelling to a country where women's wrestling has the highest priority. The men, of course, are very successful and super important, as is wrestling in general. But I think it has never happened before that I come to a country and see that the hall is full for us women. I am looking forward to experiencing that atmosphere." (Deutscher Ringer-Bund, 12 Jan 2020; rp-online.de, 29 Sep 2019; Deutscher Ringer-Bund, 12 Jan 2020)

OCCUPATION
She works as an occupational health manager. "The company I work for is a supporter of competitive sport and offered me a job as an occupational health manager. This is a completely new, but very interesting, area of work for me, because I can now concentrate more on the prevention of injuries." (aline-focken.de, 03 Sep 2018)

FURTHER EDUCATION
She holds a master's degree in health management. (aline-focken.de, 01 May 2016; dhfpg.de, 22 Feb 2016)
