General Interest

General
WEIGHT PREFERENCE
He prefers to compete in a weight category that gives him the opportunity to gain weight rather than having to lose it. He is also comfortable with being one of the lightest competitors in his category, which he was when he won silver at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, People's Republic of China. "When I was at the Olympics, I was five kilograms below the others. I was 80 kilograms, but I fought at 85kg. In my opinion, technique is more important than weight. When I lose weight, I do not feel well. As a child, in several competitions, I lost three to four kilograms and it was very difficult for me. I decided that the best option was not to lose weight. I prefer to gain weight instead and I'll upload as much as I need to." (blitz.bg, 04 Nov 2018)
