RETIREMENT AND COMEBACK
He decided to retire from the sport after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro as he felt he had not received enough support from the national federation. He left Egypt and went to the United States of America, where he worked in a supermarket. He had to return to Egypt for family-related reasons, and at that time changes were happening in the federation, and some members contacted him to change his decision.
