MIDDLE BLOCKER
He has played as a middle blocker since age 16. "It has always been my position, at age 16 I was already two metres tall and my first coach had no doubts as to where to place me. I like my place on the pitch. It is a fundamental position that gives great satisfaction. Take note, the most explosive celebration, the one that involves the whole team and unites everyone in a vigorous embrace, always comes after a dunk or a block. It looks easy, yet blocking who you are facing is a complicated technical gesture. STUDY BREAK
He has taken a break from his physiotherapy studies in order to focus on his volleyball career. "I am enrolled in the second year [speaking in 2020] of a physiotherapy degree. The high rhythms of the sport leave no room for studying and I decided to take a break. Hopefully it will help me clear my ideas. The goal, however, is to graduate. I am very interested in the course, the body is my work tool and I know it well, physiotherapy is already part of my routine and learning more about it is very useful." (sportsenators.it, 21 Feb 2020)
