General Interest

General
FATHER COACH
He says he was initially concerned when his father was appointed head coach of the French men's volleyball team in 2012. "I thought it was going to be tough. I was in the group, but I thought people would be questioning my legitimacy. Fortunately, the team was renewed, with lots of young people who knew me well. Then Jenia [Grebennikov] and Earvin [Ngapeth], who were also coached by their fathers, helped me and said, 'Don't worry, it's okay. You will get used to it'." (lejdd.fr, 29 May 2016)

OTHER STUDIES
In 2009 he began studying at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC, Canada, but transferred to the University of California, Irvine in the United States of America in 2011. "I came to UC Irvine in April 2011 for a visit while having studied and played for two years at Thompson Rivers University in Canada. I needed a change, a new experience to move forward in my life, but also in volleyball. UCI had won a few titles [2007 and 2009] so I had been watching them play quite a lot. I was excited to think I could play on that team." (ucirvinesports.com, 22 Sep 2020; gowolfpack.ca, 08 Aug 2016)
