"When I was 17, I had to choose between going to a music school or a sports school in Montpellier [France]. I decided that after the end of my sporting career, I could still become a musician, but the reverse is not possible. So I decided to go to Montpellier. I quickly came to the conclusion that it was a good decision." (sportowefakty.wp.pl, 14 Jan 2021)

MUSICIAN
Growing up he combined training in volleyball and studying music. He spent 13 years learning trumpet and eight years learning piano, and says he still enjoys playing and composing. "When composing, I feel like I'm in a different universe. I forget that I am far from home, my family, and girlfriend." When he played for Spacer's Toulouse in France, on one occasion he played trumpet for the crowd after a match. "We won 3-0 and in euphoria I decided to celebrate it with music. I ran to the changing room to get my trumpet and played in front of 5000 fans. They liked it. I ended the set by repeating a familiar melody several times, after which the audience could shout, 'Ole!'" In 2020 he recorded a piano version of 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' for the YouTube channel of his then team, Jastrzebski Wegiel in Poland. "I've never before played piano while singing. I had to practise a little, learn the words. At first I was playing a little too fast, I was constantly thinking about the next line of lyrics. But I was doing better and better over time. And I think it turned out pretty cool on the recording." (sportowefakty.wp.pl, 14 Jan 2021)
