"I remember my parents playing in an open gym when I was little. Sports in general always got my attention so I tried whatever I could get my hands on. It wasn't until I got to high school that I got the chance to go out for a team, but at the time it was my off season sport I played when I finished my soccer season. I kept getting better and taller and soon realised that if I had a future in sports, it wasn't soccer anymore, it was volleyball." (nbcolympics.com, 06 Jul 2016)
