She sustained a foot injury in May 2021 at the Europe Cup event in Caorle, Italy, but recovered to finish third at the World Cup event in Huatulco, Mexico, several weeks later. (hdsports.org, 13 Jun 2021)

As a child she was a swimmer, until age 13 when she had an accident riding her bicycle. She sustained several fractures and lost some of the feeling in her thumb.
