Her father took her to a gymnastics class to improve her balance and coordination, as she would often run into walls and furniture as a child. She says her 15th-place finish at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro reflected her lack of experience, and she is determined to fight for a medal at the 2020 Games in Tokyo. "I was just a baby [in Rio]. I competed to my best ability. Now going to my second Olympic Games, I'm not competing just to compete. I'm competing for a medal.
