In May 2019 he received a six-month suspended sentence and was fined 5000 USD by the Tennis Integrity Unit [TIU] after he was found guilty of failing to report corrupt approaches in 2015. 4000 USD of the fine was suspended on the basis that no further breaches are committed, and he was also found guilty of a further charge of failing to report knowledge or suspicion of corruption offences by another party.
