General Interest

General
SYDNEY TO MELBOURNE
In September 2019 he moved from Sydney, NSW, to Melbourne, VIC, Australia, to train full-time at the Australian Taekwondo facility with hopes of competing at his third Olympic Games in Tokyo. "I wasn't able to commit initially [when the facility was opened in 2018], I had a lot of responsibilities trying to juggle work, university and a lot of other things. There were a lot of sacrifices. I moved away from family and friends and quit my job." He secured Australia a spot in Tokyo at the 2020 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia in February that year. (canberratimes.com.au, 02 Mar 2020; 7news.com.au, 27 Feb 2020)
