To compete at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. (olympcsmv.cz, 18 Mar 2021)
:
Competing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. "I had a wonderful experience. It motivates me to try to get to the next tournament, whether the Olympic Games or the European Games. I really like the atmosphere in the Czech team, everyone gets along with everyone, everyone behaves with respect. We sat in the clubhouse and the stars, including [Czech judoka] Lukas Krpalek, or the tennis players, will greet you as an equal. Also, I could watch medallists like Krpalek and [Czech canoeist] Jiri Prskavec live. I even saw the beach volleyball." (brnenskadrbna.cz, 17 Aug 2017; sport.aktualne.cz, 23 Mar 2021)

General
EUROPE CATCHING UP WITH ASIA
In 2021 he spoke about his belief that the European nations are improving in quality and catching up to the traditionally strong Asian nations in table tennis. "It seems to me that Europeans are catching up. Until a few years ago, the Asians had no competition at all." (sport.aktualne.cz, 23 Mar 2021)

GERMAN TABLE TENNIS
He has played table tennis in a number of countries in Europe and believes that Germany has the highest standard of club competition on the continent. "The Germans do it really beautifully, professionally. They like table tennis very much. The environment is great, I feel the best is there. I can compare it with France, where I played, and Germany has more prestige for me. Yes, France and Poland have teams that are able to beat a team from Germany, but the difference is that you have eight of the twelve really top teams in Germany, whereas in France or Poland there are three or four."
