A table tennis coach went to her school to give some introduction courses, and the following year she joined the coach's club. She used to play basketball as well, but at age 11 she choose to focus on table tennis. She was later inspired to start a career as a professional athlete after watching French swimmer Laure Manaudou winning a gold medal at age 16 at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
