EQUALLING DALE OEN
In July 2021 he equalled Alexander Dale Oen's national 50m breaststroke record of 27.20 during the Norwegian championships held at the Alexander Dale Oen arena in Bergen. Earlier that day he had learnt that he would be competing at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "It has been the best day of my life. I could never imagine it going that way. I have dreamed of the Olympics all these years, and equalling Alexander Dale Oen's record here in the Alexander Dale Oen arena is as big as it can get.
