She says national coaches Evgheni Carabetchi and Denis Gluhovcenco have influenced her life beyond the pool, having helped look after her when her father died at an early age. "In my sporting life there are two people who have marked my career. I am referring to coaches Evgheni and Denis. They knew how to instil in me the confidence, which I never imagined I was capable of, that gives me the strength to persevere and constantly motivates me for new achievements. They are the mentors who support me in case failures discourage me or if I am overwhelmed by personal problems. After I lost my father, Evgheni and Denis gave me the parental care that I needed in my childhood years, which is something I will be grateful for throughout my life.
