SKIPPING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
He decided not to compete at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, Republic of Korea, because he wanted to give his body a rest ahead of preparation for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "In early 2019 I knew that I would not be competing at the world championships this year. I had to listen to my body, because during the last 10 years I took part in all major events.
