RELOCATING TO USA
In 2015 he was offered a scholarship from the University of Auburn in the United States of America. He decided to join the university after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro to study marketing and information systems management. "I made the decision to come to the United States with the goal of improving my times and to overcome myself. It took me some time to adapt, to find what I needed to adjust in order to get the best out of me. Training is hard, demanding and with such a big intensity. But when you are tired you look to your side to the swimmer next to you who also is tired but he says, 'Come on! We can do it!' and that helps a lot. I think that was the main difference that I found here, a team that motivated me and pulled me forward." (lanacion.com.ar, 24 Jul 2019; tycsports.com, 01 Aug 2020)
