General
BURST EARDRUM WIN
She won the 2015 Fiji Women's Pro event in Tavarua, Fiji despite suffering a perforated eardrum in her third-round heat. "It was really a shock to the system. I came back to regroup and thought it's not ideal but I really had to give it a shot. To be able to push myself, it's one to remember, it's one for the archives." Her eardrum will always have a slight weakness and she wears an earplug when surfing larger waves. "That was a cool injury to work through and enjoy the confidence that you can push through it." (smh.com, 02 Jun 2015; 04 Jun 2015; theinertia.com, 18 Dec 2015)

OTHER ACTIVITIES
She has published two books on lifestyle and fitness and in 2017 she launched a mobile fitness app called All Australian Beach Body. (womensfitness.com.au, 23 Jan 2017; sallyfitzgibbons.com, 27 Dec 2017)
