She struggled with her form and in 2019 was not called up to the French national surfing team that competed at the 2019 World Surfing Games in Miyazaki, Japan. She said this was a turning point in her quest to qualify for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. "I felt under so much pressure because of this goal of qualifying for the Olympic Games. Not being a member of the French national team in 2019 was like an electrical shock for me. I was obliged to start all over again with a different approach and mentality. That was what made the difference." She managed to qualify for Tokyo at the 2021 World Surfing Games in El Salvador. "I've come back from a long way down. I had to find some good results, earn a place on the national team and then, at the World Games, get qualification for Tokyo. There were so many steps to take, and I had to take it one by one. She has served as member of the direction committee of the French Surfing Federation [FFS]. She has also served as an ambassador for an association that promotes surfing for people with impairments and a foundation for the protection of oceans.
