General
MAINLAND FRANCE TO REUNION
She was born in Le-Puy-en-Velay in mainland southern France, but her family relocated to the French overseas department of Reunion when she was one year old. "My father came her to work as a doctor, so I consider myself more an islander." (gqmagazine.fr, 29 Apr 2020)

OLYMPIC SURFING
She says the addition of surfing to the Olympic programme offers a new perspective for the sport. "For me, surfing being in the [Olympic] programme offers a new dimension. My contracts are longer and that is a good thing for me as an athlete, as I can think about the long term. I've been thinking about [becoming Olympic champion] since it was first said that surfing might be at the Games. The 2024 Games in Paris really makes me dream." (gqmagazine.fr, 29 Apr 2020)
