She was born into a family of surfing enthusiasts. "My dad took me out for the first time when I was 10. It was actually pretty big and scary that day, but I'm really good at hiding my fear. He thought I was chill when I was actually terrified. We all grew up watching guys like Bruce and Andy [Irons], who were so talented and fearless. So naturally we all wanted to get the biggest and best waves. Every time we went surfing, it was like paddling out for a heat." (worldsurfleague.com, 2019; surfer.com, 2016)

REPRESENTING BRAZIL
She was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, to a Brazilian mother and a British father. Her family relocated to Kauai, HI, United States of America, two months after her birth. She represented Hawaii until she decided to represent Brazil in international competitions in 2018. "Brazil has always been an important part of who I am. I was approached by the Brazilian Olympic Committee with an opportunity to represent the country in a major way. It's always been a dream of mine to compete in the Olympics and when surfing was announced as an official Olympic sport, I knew that my dream had a chance of becoming a reality. [Brazilian surfers] Gabriel Medina, Filipe Toledo, Italo Ferreira and my partner Jesse Mendes gave me a lot of support. My mother is Brazilian, my partner is Brazilian, my coach, my whole team comes from Brazil. I love Brazil, it is like my second home." FILM AND TV
At age 11 she acted as a stunt double in the film Soul Surfer. The film recounts the life of surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her left arm in a shark attack. Weston-Webb performed the surfing action scenes in the film. Since 2016 her daily life has also been portrayed in the Brazilian reality TV show Channel Off. "They [Channel Off] had been looking for someone like me, because they really wanted to start inspiring younger girls from Brazil to get out and chase their dreams." As of 2019 the show was running its fourth season. (worldsurfleague.com, 2019; surfer.com, 2016; abcdacomunicacao.com.br, 12 Jul 2019)
