She has represented Switzerland at the ice climbing world championships. (UIAA-International Climbing and Mountaineering YouTube channel, 05 Feb 2017)
:
In November 2020 she injured her right shoulder during the bouldering qualification stages of the 2020 European Championships in Moscow, Russian Federation. She initially continued to compete but eventually withdrew from the tournament due to persistent pain. After returning to Switzerland, she fell ill and was hospitalised with a kidney problem. (Facebook page, 05 Dec 2020; sas-cas.ch, 24 Nov 2020)

She won her first climbing competition at age 12. (redbull.com, 01 Sep 2019)
:
She was born into a family of climbing enthusiasts as her parents and grandparents practised rock climbing. She was also involved in equestrian from age four to 16, but quit as she had to wait four years to get a licence. "Sport climbing is my biggest passion. It's so good because I am surrounded by many people who believe in me." (skalolaz.pro, 30 Apr 2020; petraklinger.ch, 08 Jan 2019; cooperation.ch, 08 Aug 2019)
:
To win gold at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. (aargauerzeitung.ch, 18 Oct 2019)
:
"I train basically every day, and on most days twice a day. So in general I have about 30 hours a week. I don't have a gym at home, mainly because for me it's important to make a difference between training and being home and relaxing. At my parents' place when I was younger I had a small climbing wall, but I always preferred to go to the climbing gym." (skalolaz.pro, 30 Apr 2020)

Winning bouldering gold at the 2016 World Championships in Paris, France. (aargauerzeitung.ch, 18 Oct 2019)
:
She listens to music, does breathing exercises and practises positive visualisation before competitions. "I think about positive moments from the past. If I face a difficult problem, I remember such elements from my training. I mentally prepare for the boulder with visualisation and try to feel how I will execute the movement." (skalolaz.pro, 30 Apr 2020)
:
"I've never given up in climbing, I've always - even in hard times - fought through. I have had injuries but they never were a reason to stop climbing, luckily. I love training, I think that's also a big advantage. My body is definitely made for it - I can do it without getting injured or too much pain. But at the same time it is also my weakness. Because I'm super determined I pressure myself a lot, and I have high expectations. If something doesn't work out as I want it, it's hard mentally to work through that. I always want more."
