SPEED, BOULDERING FOCUS
Of the three sport climbing disciplines that make up the Olympic format, he believes that bouldering and speed climbing are his strongest areas. "Everyone naturally focuses differently. OLYMPIC FORMAT
He supports the Olympic format for sport climbing that sees scores from three disciplines combined, but hopes the disciplines will eventually become their own individual Olympic events in the future. "I was surprised by the intensity of the new format. Not only me, but also the other athletes were really exhausted three or four days later. The Olympic combined format is definitely a compromise, with which not all athletes are 100% happy. However, I think the opinion among the athletes is that the Olympics are a very big opportunity for climbing, and it is nice to be able to present our sport on the biggest stage. But as there was only one event that we could compete in, climbing had to find a solution - go for combined, or choose a single discipline.
