"I started by chance in 2010, at the age of six. Dad took me one day to Cinecitta where there is a skate park and it was love at first sight. Before that day I didn't even know what skateboarding was and I didn't even do other sports but I immediately realised that I could do things that others took twice as long to learn." GROWTH OPPORTUNITY
He believes the inclusion of skateboarding at the Olympic Games is an opportunity to grow the sport, especially in his native Italy. "Skaters are divided into people who 'slander' the Olympics and others who like it instead. It's a bit like break dance, being a street sport, where people think it's not an Olympic sports. I think that skateboarding was born on the street, but I also think that the Olympics are an opportunity, for young people, for kids who want to learn how to skateboard. Since skateboarding has been included at the Olympics, there are three times more people skating than before and they are also building new skate parks because they make more money. I therefore believe that it is an opportunity to make this sport grow in Italy and also in other countries where skateboarding is not known. I see it as an opportunity, in addition to the fact that I can enjoy skateboarding and more work, because I make money from skateboarding." (sportfair.it, 06 Apr 2021)
