"I asked for a board for my birthday when I was 12. I often saw people skate in my neighborhood, towards Boulevard Richard-Lenoir and Bastille. It looked cool so I wanted to give it a try. I immediately thought it was great and started learning tricks with some friends who had also just had their first skate." (chillax.tv, 01 Jan 2016)

DOCTOR OF COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE
After completing a bachelor's degree in sport sciences at the University Paris Descartes in 2013, she completed a master's degree at the institution in 2015. She then completed a doctoral degree in cognitive neuroscience and psychology in 2019. "My doctoral research focused on the effect of the maternal voice and motor skills of newborn babies. We studied the interactions between a baby and the mother. I find it very interesting. I completed my thesis [in 2019] after four years of work, so now I can devote myself 100% to skateboarding. Later, maybe I will take a job in research, because that interests me. I don't make a living with skateboarding. My sponsors don't give me money, just equipment." SKATEBOARDING AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES
She believes that skateboard's appearance at the Olympic Games will open the sport up to a new audience. "The Olympics will bring great visibility to skateboarding. Being broadcast on mainstream channels will motivate many young people to get started. There will be as many women as men all over the world who will prove that everyone can get started. It may also help to change the image of the sport. For example, there are still cities in France where it is forbidden to get around on a skateboard. Back in 2016 when skateboarding was announced as a new Olympic event and the French sporting authorities started getting riders together to prepare for this new adventure, I accepted straight away when they approached me. I thought it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I had to seize it." (mksport-mag.com, 15 Mar 2020; redbull.com, 20 Jun 2019)
