She was one of Austria's first professional female skateboarders and says it is pleasing to see how the sport is developing in her country. "When I started to skate I was probably the only female skateboarder in my whole country, but I never really cared too much about that. Growing up I always had more guy friends, so I was used to hanging out with guys all the time. I mostly skated our local park that only had three horrible little obstacles and a ground so rough that your board would be dusted after a week, and your skin too whenever you fell on it. Over the years I started going to Vienna more and they started to build better parks too. I am a little jealous when I see kids today growing up with tons of perfect skate parks everywhere. I think I would have been able to progress way quicker skating parks like that every day. But also too, I will never forget where I came from and that makes me appreciate what I, or better we the skateboarders, have now, whereas for kids nowadays it's just normal and nothing special."
