His father Bernardo Tobar Ante represented Colombia in pistol shooting events at the 1984, 1988, 1992, and 1996 Olympic Games. His sister Nathalia Granados has represented the United States of America in pistol shooting events, including the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.
