She was eight months pregnant when she competed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. "Most people said I was crazy and selfish because they thought I was jeopardising my baby's health. My husband said grab it as this is a rare chance which may not come again. Also, I am the mother. I know what I can do. I am a stubborn person." She was pregnant with her second child in early 2016, which was due in February that year, but was advised by her doctors not to attend the 2016 Asian Olympic Qualifying Championships in New Delhi, India. The January event was her last chance to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, and she missed the 2016 Games.
