His wife Jessica Rossi has also represented Italy in shooting and won gold in individual trap at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. They have previously competed against each other and together, including at the 2020 national mixed trap shooting championships in Italy, where they took gold in August of that year. They have also jointly owned a shooting range in Crevalcore, Italy. In May 2021 she said that they had been separated since 2020.
