FROM BELARUS TO AUSTRALIA
Born in Belarus, his family moved to Australia in 1998 when his father was appointed gunsmith for the Australian national shooting team. (pakenham.starcommunity.com.au, 04 Apr 2018)

FAMILY SPORT
He says he enjoys the opportunity to train and compete alongside his mother Lalita Yauhleuskaya. The pair have both represented Australia in pistol events at international competitions, including the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia. His father Sergei Sr. has also served as an international shooting coach and gunsmith, and he admits his parent's success in the sport has added extra pressure to his own shooting career. "She has been there since day one of my shooting and has always been with me, she showed me and taught me the fundamentals and core ideas of pistol shooting. Competing together is definitely more enjoyable because we are able to train together. Training by yourself is hard because you lose motivation, however together it's easy. A lot of people would come up to me and say, 'You're the son of Lalita and Sergei [Sr.] and I hope you shoot as good as them'. It would give me that extra pressure. They [my parents] told me to acknowledge it, but don't pay any attention to it."
