His mother Lalita Yauhleuskaya has represented the Soviet Union, Belarus and Australia in shooting. She competed at six consecutive Olympic Games between 1996 and 2016, winning bronze in the 25m pistol for Belarus at the 2000 Games in Sydney. His father Sergei Evglevski Sr. served as gunsmith for the Australian team at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, and as a member of the coaching staff at the 2004 edition in Athens.
