He won gold in the 10m air rifle at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia, which was held at his home shooting range. His father served as the chief range officer at the event, while his mother served as the results timing and scoring officer. "I pretty much grew up here [Belmont Shooting Complex]. My mum was shooting here when she was pregnant with me, basically, literally on this range. It's special, having it here. It was really cool because I'm competing and the voice telling us when we could start and stop was my dad.
