OLYMPIC EXPERIENCE
He says he plans on using his disappointing experience at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro as motivation to help him improve his performance at the 2020 Games in Tokyo. "I didn't have a good competition in Rio. I was shooting good up until a month before the Games and I think that I almost got complacent with the fact that I was selected to go. And I didn't train the right way that I should have been training going into the competition. Also, I didn't have university, so I didn't have anything else. So, if training didn't go well, I was overthinking it and thinking that, 'It doesn't matter, you're already selected for the Games'. I wasn't pushing myself enough. I know what I have to do differently this time to shoot a lot better. I'm only 22 years old and I'm only going to improve before the Games. It's not as though I'm pushing 40 and thinking, 'Oh no I've got to push myself for another year'. I still want to keep busy with university because it's something that can take my mind off shooting." (shootingaustralia.org, 15 May 2020)

STUDIES BREAK
He took a break from his studies at Flinders University in Adelaide, SA, Australia, to focus his attention on training for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. (rio2016.olympics.com.au, 08 Apr 2016)
