She says balancing shooting with her schoolwork has become more difficult as the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo have moved closer, but there is similarity between the two. "Shooting is an entirely mental sport, your head is decisive. You need the right position and equipment, but if you can't stay focused for an hour then you won't reach your goal. School and sport have concentration as a common factor, when I study I can concentrate better because I am used to doing the same in my sport. My shooting commitments have grown a lot in the last two years [speaking in 2021]. At the beginning I used to spend four days a month with the national team, but recently I've had to commit eight days a month for competitions, plus all the training I do in Ravenna.
