In 2017 she said her shooting performance had improved thanks to a fresh mental approach. "I had found it difficult to replicate my level of performance in training when I was in competition and I built up too much pressure on myself. I knew my goals - finals, medals, etc. - and I knew I had to achieve consistently good results, resolve my doubts and minimise my nervousness in competition. Since then I have changed my approach. I try to enjoy the whole thing more, because my life doesn't depend on it and I don't have to earn a living from the sport either. I have learned to concentrate on my performance and to distance myself from my surroundings and from other people's expectations. Now I focus on my technique and can handle and accept my results."
