Outside of sport he works for France's National Gendarmerie under a special contract for elite athletes that allows him to train for a future career within the gendarmerie. He has also represented France's national military shooting team, including at the 2018 World Military Shooting Championships in Thun, Switzerland. NO FAMILY IN RIO
He asked his family not to travel to Brazil to support him at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, where he won a silver medal. "I told my parents and two sisters that I preferred them not to come to support me in Brazil. I also turned off my phone for several days. It's not easy to make those close to you understand, but in my discipline it's important not to be distracted by other things. STUDY SWITCH
He initially studied law at Aix-Marseille University but after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro he switched to studying human movement studies and massage therapy. "The law studies began to appeal to me less and less. Between training, travel and competition, little by little I left the law studies behind.
