In February 2013 she fractured her elbow while doing cardio training on her bicycle. She had to stop suddenly to avoid a car travelling on the wrong side of the road, and was thrown over the handlebars. The injury took six weeks to heal. (sc.tudelft.nl, 01 May 2014)
