OLYMPIC QUALIFICATION
He secured qualification in the RS:X class for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo by finishing 25th in the 2019 Class World Championships in Torbole, Italy. As one of the lighter competitors he had not expected to do so well at the tournament, due to the stronger winds at the venue, but he now hopes to perform well at the 2020 Games where the conditions suit him better. "I have already claimed three medals [in Enoshima, Japan] and that means I can be optimistic. If the conditions are the same, without such strong, gusty winds, I can do well." (periodicodeibiza.es, 02 Oct 2019)

REPRESENTING SWITZERLAND
He was born in the Spanish island of Formentera to a Swiss mother and a Spanish father. After representing Spain in junior categories, he began representing Switzerland from 2014. "I was very well received by this new family, and I feel better with them." (schweizer-illustrierte.ch, 24 Jul 2020; 20min.ch, 18 May 2016)
