Her sister Nurliyana has represented Malaysia in sailing. She competed alongside Nur Shazrin in the team Laser Radial event at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore. Her other sisters have also been active in the sport. Nur Afiqah has worked as a coach in Pahang, Malaysia, while Nur Lia Ameera and Nur Syahirah have competed in Optimist at national level.
