She competed with Tina Mrak from 2007 to 2009. At that point she decided to dedicate herself to her architecture degree at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. Mrak spent the following three years competing with Teja Cerne before joining forces with Macarol again in 2012. "At the beginning I tried to reconcile my studies with sailing.
