MOVE TO GERMANY
She represented Ukraine in sailing earlier in her career, placing 40th in the 470 class at the 2014 World Championships in Santander, Spain. At the 2014 European Junior Championships in Gdynia, Poland, she met her future husband Malte Winkel, who was competing for Germany. They had a long distance relationship for about 18 months before Anastasiya relocated to Germany in 2016, and the pair got married the following year. She and her crewmate Luise Wanser placed ninth at the 2021 Class World Championships in Vilamoura, Portugal, to secure their spot on the German team for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
