CREWMATE
He studied dentistry at university, and by 2016 he had decided he would focus on his professional career after struggling to reach his potential in sailing. He was about to take up a position in the Netherlands when he received a call from Spanish international sailor Jordi Xammar, who had just split from his former crewmate Joan Herp Morell. "[Xammar] called me to offer me the chance to team up with him in the 470. I thought I was no longer going to sail at this level, and that I wouldn't have the chance to go to the Olympics. The project has a lot of potential." (farodevigo.es, 14 Feb 2017)

TRAINING IN JAPAN
In 2019 he and Jordi Xammar spent time training alongside the Japanese sailing team at a former military base on the island of Zamami in Japan. "It was the ideal place. Total solitude. We trained, surrounded by whales, in the sea and later we did physical workouts and then we slept. That was the routine: sailing, fitness, rest, sailing, fitness, rest. Just what we needed," Xammar said. (elmundo.es, 02 Aug 2019)
