He began competing in the Nacra 17 class with Manon Audinet in September 2018. "I have known Manon since we were youngsters. We used to compete against each other in catamaran. I immediately knew it was a golden opportunity. I fit very well in the boat, it's fun. Manon wanted to start from scratch and that convinced me to join her. It was a risky bet. I had never done Nacra 17 before and it was a very short time to go before [the 2020 Olympic Games in] Tokyo. But Manon was convinced and we immediately began working with the ambition of improving fast. I am now convinced we can sail among the best, even if we still need to improve our starts.
