General Interest

General
OVERCOMING DISAPPOINTMENT
She spent time considering her future in the sport after she failed to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games. She took some time away to focus on her studies, moving to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil to complete a master's degree in human resources. "[Not qualifying for the 2016 Games] was a big disappointment. After four years of hard work and sacrifices, it hurt. I needed to take a breath and think about what would come next. [Studying abroad] was a big chance to earn a master's degree and learn a new language. After a short while I took the decision to start all over again for a new Olympic cycle. Now I've got everything in hand to go and claim a medal." (voile.banquepopulaire.fr, 05 May 2020)

OVERCOMING INJURY
In 2005 she fell off a climbing wall and badly injured herself, breaking bones and fracturing vertebrae in her back. She was confined to her bed for months but made a steady recovery and was able to resume her sailing career. "After my accident, from the rehabilitation centre in Lorient [in France], I saw all of my friends sailing and I wanted to get back on the water as quickly as possible. I do not like to complain, and I do not like to say that I feel bad." FURTHER EDUCATION
She has a master's degree in human resources from the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets [IBMEC] in Rio de Janeiro. (voile.banquepopulaire.fr, 05 May 2020; voileetmoteur.com, 20 Mar 2020; Facebook profile, 08 Mar 2017)

OCCUPATION
She works as a consultant in a French employment agency in Brest, France. (voile.banquepopulaire.fr, 05 May 2020; ouest-france.fr, 11 May 2019)
