BREAKING UP TEAM WANSER
She competed in the 470 class with her sister Helena for seven years, and the pair hoped to represent Germany together at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Helena was already planning to focus on windsurfing at the 2024 Games in Paris, but a rescheduling of qualifying events for Tokyo 2020 meant Helena decided to drop out of the team early to focus on the Paris 2024 instead. "There were a lot of tears, but I understand. Helena had been waiting to switch, and she had to do it at the time." (yacht.de, 01 Mar 2021; hamburg.de, 01 Jun 2020)

CREWMATE
She competes in the 470 class with Anastasiya Winkel. The pair began sailing together in April 2020. "[Anastasiya is] another aspiring Olympian who was just looking for a new partner from our own ranks. We are both very similar types. We are both very emotional - we talk a lot. Although I try to keep my mouth shut, which works sometimes." (hamburg.de, 01 Jun 2020)

OCCUPATION
She works as a ski instructor. (segelreporter.com, 31 Mar 2021)
