CHANGE OF COACH
In 2019 she and her crewmate Tina Lutz began working with coach Ian Baker. The pair made the decision following a series of disappointing results, which included a 12th place finish at the 2019 Class European Championships in Weymouth, England. "This failure made us really angry. We decided to stop looking for explanations. Fortunately, [Baker] was interested in working with us. He completely turned our routine upside down," Lutz said. TRAINING WITH MEN
After participating in the all-female Helga Cup in 2018, she said that she would enjoy more opportunities for mixed gender training. "[I] would really like to train more with the boys, because men are still a little bit faster. They can be more aggressive than women. On the other hand, we can understand complex relationships and look ahead quite well when sailing. I also think it's fun to train with the men. When you overtake them, you can be really happy, and they get just as annoyed the other way round. Because they sail more actively and attack and fight each other more. The boat only goes fast if you move well." (floatmagazine.com, 19 Jun 2018)
