LAST OLYMPIC GAMES
The 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo will be his fifth Games and he says it will also be his last. He represented Puerto Rico at the Games in 1988, 1992, 2000 and 2004, sailing in the men's double handed Tornado class. He switched to the mixed gender Nacra 17 class in 2013, and began competing alongside crewmate Gretchen Ortiz in 2019. "It's 54 years of youth that are heavier every year and make competing more difficult. The competitors are younger, and this boat demands a lot more physically and has a lot of pros and cons."
