"I saw a feature about a new talent programme called Talent 2020, launched by the Danish Rowing Association. The ultimate goal of the talent programme was to develop rowers for the 2020 Olympics, and they called on young people for a test. I went to the test where I was measured both in height and arm span and completed a physical test. A couple of weeks later, after an admission interview with a consultant from the Danish Rowing Association, I was informed that I was among the 10 people who had been admitted to Kraftcenter Holstebro." MENTAL STRENGHT
She has discussed the importance of the mental part of rowing. "The mental part is definitely my biggest challenge, but in recent years I have worked a lot on it and used both my coaches and sports psychologists, so I feel better and better equipped in relation to the challenges I face along the way. Belief in myself has also grown, it comes from an honest Trine, who admits that for a period of time she considered whether she should continue as an elite athlete."
