SWITCH TO SCULLS
After failing to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the men's pairs event, he switched to the single sculls event in 2018. "Technically it is a challenge [switching disciples], but the mental side is also huge. You don't have somebody to push you when you are tired or when you don't want to train. You are always lonely, and you have to push yourself. It has good points too. You are not dependent on someone else, if you are good, it is fast. And there is direct feedback from the boat.
