She says her partner Evelyn Silvestro, who she first teamed up with in December 2020, has renewed her energy for the sport. When the pair competed at the Americas Olympic qualification regatta in March 2021, Kraljev was 16 years older than her teammate. "What makes this duo work is that we have a bit of everything. We are both very competitive, we don't like to lose anything, and we demand a lot from each other. Nothing is left to chance. Although there is a generational difference, we complement each other because she has this spark, I don't know how to explain it. After rowing for almost 20 years [speaking in 2021], perhaps I was losing that because it becomes monotonous. But Eve came in and renewed that energy. She pumps me up."
